All the pieces were there, and nothing broken. We did use carpenter's glue in the screw holes to improve durability, and it seems pretty sturdy. She likes it, too. It is simple and nice looking. For the price $310 and free shipping it is a very good deal. Shipping was fast and there was no demage on it. We put it together my husband and I, less then an hour. The parts fits nicely together. Feels sturdy. It is not too hard to move it after we put it together, like others wrote it in their review. We have it on carpet, and it might be harder to get a hold of it if you have hard wood floor. <br />So far we had this bed for 6 weeks and we are still happy with it. <br />I gave a 4 star only because it is not real wood and I don't know how long it is going to be in a good shape. It was easy enough to put together, despite my general lack of ability with these kinds of things. I did it alone in 50 minutes. <br />My only complaint is that it required no signature upon delivery. The FedEx guy apparently took this as meaning it was okay to just leave it in the middle of my driveway-- quite literally the middle, despite the easily accessible, closed in porch with the neon sign asking for all packages to be brought inside. Looking out the window, I saw the FedEx delivery man push the box from inside his truck onto the pavement-- shoving it from the back of his truck to the ground. The fact that no boards were broken is a testament, at least, to good packaging. I'll do my best to avoid FedEx from now on. Rating: 4 / 5 The South Shore Platform bed (Onyx Black) arrived today. I assembled all the parts in the middle of my bedroom and hoped to move it to the corner, but later I found that based on their design, only it's assembled, it just sat where it was! Too stupid!
